Who's on first?

The Papacy may have looked more like a comedy routine about who is who and where are they. Rome was on first, France was on second and I don't know who was on third. At this point being Pope did not appear to look anything like the Imitation of Christ. It was more like a game of Risk. Every man for himself. If any good did come from this time it was the ongoing translation of the Bible into the language of the masses. It certainly did not appear to work out only having a few who could read the text, as they were all busy fighting among themselves.
